I took a walk in the woods today. The flora and geology are simply wonderful. It’s so easy to see why your family has loved this place. My mind raced with the possibilities – everything from taking the grandchildren on nature walks to seeing what can be learned from the rocks and the ancient peoples who’ve come before us.
I have the idea that living here will be a great boon to my health. I can easily see myself taking a daily walk down to the trailer and then up to the barn – before breakfast. A walking stick and some better boots and I’m good to go. And no doubt about it – its a “going” that my body wishes I’d been doing for the past decade.
I’d love to work with you to provide stewardship over this land. I don’t know what that might mean – but I love the ring of us doing it together.
No doubt, anything we do with this land will be a ways down on our shared to-do list. But just walking it regularly will make me love you all the more.
