We’ve been together now for over a week at The Ranch.
This house in the woods, built and improved by your dad, is quickly becoming my home. I’m learning both about it – and you. Both are bringing me peace.
Places like this require work to maintain them. I’ve suggested this is similar to owning a horse. And its similar to a lasting relationship. Like marriage. This place requires work, commitment, love, respect, patience, flexibility and humility.
I love the word “humility”. It’s a concept so rarely on display in the torrent of media we’re exposed to daily. But it’s the “secret sauce” of anything that lasts.
When people think of things that last, I’d like them to think of us.
